We all have our favorites. For some it was Dig Dug or Asteroids or even Chopper Command, but regardless of your favorite cartridge you had a system or you knew someone who did and for hours after school you would sit playing. And while you wrecked your thumbs with the joystick and button combo and more often then not threw the rolling control to the floor in a fit of rage, you probably never stopped to think of the man who made it all possible. Well, that is, until now.

Who ever said there was money in porn was right. Pornography is one the largest moneymaking ventures, but it still caters almost exclusively to men with it's unreal depictions of bombshell blondes and airbrushed lesbians. Though traditionally not thought of as porn connoisseurs, women have taken the helm and created their own companies and their own porn that emphasizes reality and equality.

Ralph Nader, wrapped only in a towel and staggering hopelessly from the effects of a spliff I delivered an hour before, directs me to the wet bar where a bottle of vodka has been smashed open. Apparently someone is in a mood. "I never understood your fascination with fairways and lawns," Nader says to Tiger Woods, "but you won't be a real golfer until you plug grass. Buicks and Nikes don't count."

Popular culture, art, and life in general are in a sorry sorry state. When television dictates what is cool and alternative, the only hope for originality and honesty lies in something independent. Friction Magazine author, Craig A. Platt spins the web of hypocrisy and lets us know how to escape this drab and meaningless existence. Rise up my brothers and sisters and CREATE!
